The food, atmosphere and food portions are all A1 here! The flavors are unwatchable when you’re comparing to other Mediterranean spots in the area, I can’t get enough of the chicken shawarma wraps and their Mediterranean chicken salad. All of their food is very good and worth a try.
One of the best shwarma wraps I've ever had! Huge and delicious...I could only eat half! I will definitely be back next time I'm in the neighborhood.
I had been wanting to try this place for awhile and we finally did. I didn’t realize it was online ordering only, but currently it is. We ordered chicken breast sandwich, shawarma sandwich, shawarma bowl, and basmati rice. The bowl was supposed to be super spicy and the sandwiches were supposed to be little/mild spice. Well, they mixed that up and the bowl was mild and the sandwiches were super spicy. Which was not enjoyable for the two that did not want spice and who wanted spice. The sandwiches were very “wet” and completely fell apart. I couldn’t even finish the last parts of them because they were soggy messes. We ordered 10 pita breads as well, and they came as a pack of Yasmeen Bakery Pita, which was disappointing. I thought they were going to be house made. The rice is yellow and stains EVERYTHING. My rug, my shirt, my counter, you name it, it stained it. The only redeeming thing about this place is that everything tasted good. But on our hunt for a new middle eastern restaurant, this isn’t it.
Update: we went back! Well, the sandwiches are huge and I’m not sure why I didnt note that before. They are still “wet” and fell apart at the end. We got hummus and pita, which was very yummy, the rice is bland for sure, and I realized I prefer almond rice over basmati. We also got a fattoush salad and it was quite good. But honestly, it wasn’t my favorite. But it didn’t taste bad and they give you a LOT of food, it was both lunch and dinner and shared!
I ordered at the counter a fattoush chicken breast salad no onions add feta. I got home and opened it to eat and it’s definitely not ROMAINE lettuce. It is iceberg and the butt part of the lettuce. No green romaine pieces at all. Very upset. A salad is supposed to be green, not yellow and white pieces. $20 for this. I should have gone to Shisho Palace.
Pro: chicken breast was tender and good.
Not a full dine in but has a few tables if are looking for a quick sit down. I am going vegan and the head chief gave me many options to select from. I ordered the whiped garlic spread, lentil soup, and a suggested wrap. Portions are large. I have atleast 2 meals from my order possibly 3.
Great place if you have to be on a mostly plant based diet which I am for a health issue. Their chicken swarms is wonderful. Best humus I've ever had. Tried their mujudra and it was very good. My husband loved the Mediterranean salad. Will be visiting this place more.
Definitely a hidden gem! I didn’t know this place was even there but I definitely am lucky to have skipped other decisions that I had to stop by here. The food was phenomenal and the workers had an awesome personality. Definitely coming back for that delicious chicken shawarma bowl! Highly recommend
There are many places in Metro Detroit which make great shawarma sandwiches, but Levant is the BEST! Beyond their carry out service is an array of other foods which are absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed their food at a wedding and recently for a holiday party. Everything was most, flavorful and delicious!
We ordered food for pick up. The food was delicious.
We ordered one of the mixed bowls and am glad we ordered one as it was more than …
This place is so wonderful! You can get a GIANT shawarma wrap; the portions of hummus and garlic dip are enormous too. If they are not sure exactly what you want, they will call and clarify to make sure it's right. How many other places do that??? Thanks so much!!
